My current organization is looking into using Microsoft Online Services to host our Research & development SharePoint environment. I was actually surprised today to see that Microsoft is still only offering their 2007 version of the SharePoint server as an online service.
The main intent of our organization was to use this environment as a platform to experiment with Bleeding edge technologies. Now I guess we will have to wait for the Fall timeframe before being able to consider it. We may have something else in place by then. Too bad they couldn't have their online services updated at the same time they released the Office 2010 suite.
